Default Spirit MkII preselected by Grand Prix de Genève

Spirit MkII preselected by Grand Prix de Genève

We are delighted to announce that Speake-Marin’s Spirit MkII has been preselected by the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève jury ahead of this November’s awards ceremony.

Spirit MkII has been preselected in the “Petite Aiguille” (Little Hand) category for watches priced under 7’500 Swiss francs. Preselection means that it has made the top 19 watches in its respective class from all of the entries.

The winner of each category will be announced at the red carpet prize-giving ceremony held at Geneva’s Grand Théâtre on Friday, November 15th – the 13th edition of the gala event, an important date in the haute horlogerie calendar.

The Spirit MkII sees Peter Speake-Marin revisit the popular Spirit Pioneer and redesign it from the ground up. The Spirit MkII retains the distinctive identity of the Pioneer, but has a new movement, dial and case. What remains the same, however, is the message that Spirit conveys. True to its name, the MkII retains the original’s rousing call to action through the inspirational motto "Fight, Love & Persevere” engraved on the case-back. Great news.
Not my favorite of Peters watches, but great for him to be getting more recognition.

    Mark.
