    Default Another Heuer Bund...

Picked this one up a few weeks back and after reading a few related threads on here, am not entirely sure which version this is. I thought it was a Sinn refurbished one but the dial looks different from River Rats (the 10 and 2 are not so cropped) and my numbers are not struck through. Between the lugs at 6 o'clock is stamped 1550 SG and at 12 o'clock is stamped 615. Maybe some of the more experienced members here could cast there eye over it? Would be interested to hear some opinions....

Want to track down a nice 3H next!

    Thanks,

    Nick.

Nick congrats on your Heuer.I will let one of the more experience members tell you more about it I am still learning about all the different dial variations.I was wondering is that lock tight on the screws might be a good idea.I have heard screws getting lost.Just saw a WTB screws ad for a Heuer bund at the MWR forum.

Thanks! Not Loctite, just red paint! Not sure why its there as it serves no purpose, but thats how I bought it. Perversely what I enjoy most about this watch is winding it up- so smooth and compared to my speedies its like butter!!

I like the simplicity of the dial too. I noticed that the font of the numbers in the subdials of my watch is slightly larger than your version too (and most 3H versions for that matter). Is this a trait of Sinn refurbs I wonder?

    Cheers,

    Nick.

    Default Heuer bund variations

This may help, sure you've already seen this but others might not have.

Thanks! I have read that before and searched On the dash as well. Just wondered if anyone had any more up to date info.

Hi Nick, congrats on your HB.

I'm afraid that I don't have any real "up to date" info. I guess you have read the different threads here on ATG, and noted that some here are concerned/surprised on the number of NOS HBs showing up almost constantly. Your example looks fine and I guess that the hands and bezel was changed as well as the dial. To me the dial looks like a "standard" Sinn as depicted on brown-snout. I don't recall having seen that caseback font and size before. Whole engraving seems wider and eg "4" is not as pointed as usual. But the engravings is a jungle of it selves and I haven't found a good reference for the caseback variations.

Thanks for the info Lars- appreciate it! I think in the long run this one will go and will be replaced by a nicer 3H version anyhow, when I find one that is! Off to a watch fair in Düsseldorf tomorrow so my hunt will begin there....!

    Cheers,

    Nick.
