    Default Radio Room watches

I just noticed that whilst I was away last month that Timefactors have released yet another retro-look Smiths, this time based on an original radio room clock - kind of a very poor man's EP 120?! It looks like the sort of thing Christopher Ward would make - have you seen those RAF sector watches?

The Vostok Radio Room is very sought after by Russian collectors and curiously, prices were fuelled rather than depressed by a batch of NOS watches appearing on the market a few years ago, to the extent that a while ago Vostok even built a ltd edition white dialled version for the WUS Russian forum - kind of a very poor man's MB 1.5?!

These photos of the original black dial Vostok are superb...

The Vostok was made in various cases, with different bezels. Given the choice, I prefer the old school Ruski. What about you?

    Regards

    Jon'.

Interesting pieces, those Russkie jobs. The more I see of them, the more i wonder if my (nee your) Raketa is a franken...

Wonder what that new Radio Room would look like on pink?

PS Noticed that PRS has Great Britain on the dial. Any reason?

Your bleeding-edge Now is always someone else’s past. Someone else’s ’70s bellbottoms. Grasp that and start to attain atemporality.

As for GB on the dial of that PRS, I reckon they are Bremont wannabes, or rather the very poor man's Bremont?
