Default Back from Service Zenith DH

Just serviced my niece's Zenith DH, which I gave her for her 16th birthday. Service was done through Paul Heath. Top bloke and quick turnaround time. New crystal, new crown. The original crown was too brassy. Was tossing up between leaving it, rhodium plating it or replacement. Opt for the later but still kept the original crown.

Hope to pick up a another DH soon, fingers crossed. Absolutely great value for what they are - when in good condition - and if they don't appreciate in price to quickly, I might get a chance to pick up a few more.

Here some pics. Thought I'd throw in my K98 1943 bym bayonet to add to the theme.

    Thanks for looking

    Dan

Thanks for your feedback lads. Yes, like the case back on the Zenith DH, the smiley imprint of the serial is so crisp compared to other DHs. A little harder to fake I would think.

    Very nice that one, Dan.

I'm curious as to how these axis DH watches compare with their allied WWW counterparts. With names like Zenith and Girard Perregaux, I suspect that the Heer watches might be better?

You have one lucky niece! Does she inherit the bayonet on her 21st?

    Regards

    Jon'.
