    Default WW1 Depollier watre proof case Illinois

    Here is a rare watch you don't see every day.It has what is called a Depollier water proof case with a Illinois 15 jewel movement.It also came with Waltham and Elgin movement's.It has a screw type crown that stay's attached to the case.Was issued to the US Army durring WW1.

    Another interesting watch, Mike. Is it the same as the one on this other thread? http://forum.atgvintagewatches.com/s...ead.php?t=1629

    That other one is up for quite a price with a US dealer.

    Yours looks like it's in much better condition - I particularly like those cathedral hands too. Any chance of a few more close-ups?

    Your right he want's a little more they sell from 2000-2700 on condition of the watch.I got a good deal on mine.And I know a few MWR member's that tried to see if they could deal with that seller to get the price down.I guess the seller will not lower the price.

    Right now it's in the shop the balance wheel had a problem.When I get it back I will take a photo side by side with a tudor snowflake for size comparison.

    Well got it back from the shop today here it's next to a Tudor snowflake for size comparison.


    You will see another WW1 watch with a cool looking dial that's what they call a Pershing dial name after the US General Black Jack Pershing you will see star's on the dial 48 star's for 48 states no Hawaii or Alaska as a state yet.It's only a 7 jewel Elgin.Here is a wrist shot of the Depollier.
