Hi lemaniacs, someone on uihrforum.de wonders about this Lemania chrono:
Any ideas? Looks like a Chrono for dash mounting?

The is gorgeous. Would grace any classic car. No doubt at all. And it is a dash clock/stopwatch.
I have to say I have never seen a black dialled version before....
Let alone one woth those hands (shape and lume).
Lovely, really lovely
Dave
If it's Lemania-powered, I'm interested. Tool Chrono - interested. Dive Chrono - interested. Interesting - interested
Hi Dave,
any idea from when it is roughly?
To be honest, no. They clearly know a reasonable amount about it if they are claming it cost DM1200 from Sinn, and this seems a high price.
The main 1-12 font is relatively modern, the tritium lume is on the sub-seconds and chrono-seconds, and a pale yellow. thehand shape (especially the chrono-seconds) is relatively modern.
However, it also retains older details too, such as the font on the sub-dials (and main dial 0-60), which also retain a railtrack design. The snail shell tachy is an old type detail, but the font on it is quite modern.
I guess that someone at Lemania has updated an old timer dial design with modern details.
I would put my money (if forced) on it being about 1965-70.
But that is an educated guess only.

thanks, that sounds reasonable.
