Thanks for posting that, JL. I was going to alert the group, too. The original is on eBay.it.

This Lorenz appears to have lived a slightly rough life but nothing that a service and TLC cannot fix.

Can anyone comment on the bezel insert? It looks like a replacement to me.

    Hi ,

Dan , cannot give a precision on bezel insert (missing on mine ***) but compared with Andy's one it seems to be right ( see his message dated March 2 nd , fourth pic on the dedicated Lorenz post)

Do you intend to auction ?

*** Add'on = I confirm that I mean the small round "Tritium" insert at 12 hrs on the bezel , right ? ***

The bezel looks as if it's a later one while the hands (chrono) are from an early one, however, given the variety of small changes made over the time of production I'd expect small anomalies/overlaps like this to be honest, so I'd say it could be assumed to be originally like this.

Thanks. I did not remember if the numbers on later models were different from earlier versions. Which they are.

I fell in love with mine after looking at the "4" in "40" on the bezel.

    Hello ,

very sorry for my misunderstanding on bezel comments , on my watch it is fortunately well present but with a slight difference on minits printed until *20* instead until *15* on the auction watch in process now.

    here is mine :

... and 30 hours again before the auction's end !

    anyone the next owner ?

So did an ATG member manage to bag this one?

I was outbid by 1, annoying but probably for the best really considering my finances.

    Cheers,
    Gary

Certainly not me, although I am a little surprised you were in the running Gary, this watch might seem a little, errrr, derivative for your highly developed aesthetic...
You should let me know, I seem to have found a few of these for members, and I do spot others, every now and again.

I had my eye on this one before this thread was started and was hoping it would slip under the radar but no such luck. You know me Dave, always looking for a bargain and, although it is a bit of a parts bin special, the overall effect is pretty pleasing.

Oh well it's only a watch and applying my wife's logic, that's over 400 I've saved to spend on something else

    Cheers,
    Gary

I am sure that very little gets past you Gary.
As you know, we here in the ATG Lemania forum have been extolling the virtues and great value of this model for a while now, so to have others (including yourself) "buy in" to the idea is not a strange one at all.
It is almost the default forum watch now, with examples owned by Me, Pascal, Andy, Daniel, JL and possibly others I am too rude to remember just now.
Perhaps the new owner of this one will check in sometime soon.....
I'll keep an eye out for any more.
