Looks great Nick - if the strap combo was by accident it works brilliantly!
I was only saying to the wife how I need a chronograph to add to my box of tricks - and these Lorenzeseses?!? are certainly a great looking watch, must keep an eye out...

It was not very long since I learnt to change straps after getting myself a nice Burgeon strap tool.
Now its time of me upgrade my skills and so here I am opening my first watch case.

Its amazing for a movement 20 years or more old is in such good shape. Perhaps it has been cleaned and serviced before. Mine does not have the medallion showing the caliber 5100. The movement serial number has been engraved onto one of the parts (which i have no die about).

    Serial Number: 4408186
Number on the outside of the caseback: 12042

The movement caliber is engraved onto some sort of a base plate

    Displays the Lorenz logo
With the text "LORENZ" and "AUOTOMATIC"
Crown is signed with the words "LORENZ"
    Tachy chaper ring
Reverse Panda dial, silver sub dials on black dial
Bezel bip at the 12 hour has just the inverted triangle.

In all, one of the most beautiful watches I have ever come across, a keeper for life with lots of wrist time.

Thanks to this thread and due to the fact i didn't own a 5100 driven watch before, i decided to look for one of these. Must have been in 2012 or so. Now, yesterday this one arrived:

I'm really happy to wear this one! The watch came from Italy, and it was a real adventure to get this. After all, i learned a lot about Google Translator. Use simple sentences. Best. Just. Single. Words. Otherwise you may ask the seller if he himself is a green frog posted to Germany. Or something like this. Anyway, after a long time of linguistic chaos all worked well. Thanks for the inspiration!

    Caseback center:
    Logo
    Lorenz
    12042
Around the Caseback edge: Swiss Automatic Chronograph Waterresistant 200 Meters

Clasp like Daniel's, with logo and dive extension

    Crown: no Logo, not signed

Thanks! I think i'd taken any of the variants after the long time i've searched one, but in fact the all black was my favorite.
