I don't know about you, but I actually don't mind getting a dirty watch. It is a great source of pleasure to clean it meticulously and give it back its glory by removing the layers of dirt and sweat that may have coated a particular timepiece during its early existence.

Besides, it is also a reminder that most people do not treat their watches with the same level of care we do...

Thanks for the details to add to the registry. I think you picked up an excellent version, JLF! Please share more photos of the case and bracelet.

Chapeau - un bon blague de la part de ton fils - c'est nickel celui-la!!

Well done, it's very sharp indeed, did anyone actually wear these??!

I will have to get mine open as it should be more recent, we'll see.

Thanks for the pics, and as Daniel says, more are always welcome.

    Great catch!

They hardly come in better state than this, as your watch looks brand new. And getting it with its original steel bracelet is a very nice bonus. It certainly deserves a few more pictures, including one or two wristshots maybe. I'm personally happy you could join our little informal club.

You will soon find out that whenever you wear this chronograph for any amount of time, switching back to anything else becomes surprisingly difficult.

I have recently been in contact with Lorenz, to enquire whether they have any spares or other materials relating to this model.
    I was told

"Spare parts for this model is sold out.
    It's a old watch produced in 1988."

Although not defintive, in terms of production over time, it is worth noting that the model was introduced then.

What makes this a little more interesting is that it makes the Lorenz an exact contempory of the Zenith DeLuca.

So it cannot really be described as an hommage to the DeLuca, the timing must have been that they were separately designed and developed in parallel, not one as a result of the other.

If it's Lemania-powered, I'm interested. Tool Chrono - interested. Dive Chrono - interested. Interesting - interested

Default Another Lorenz for the registry...

With extra special thanks to Daniel for helping me catch this one, I can finally join in here...now that I've got one I can understand what all the fuss is about. What an amazing watch for the money! These babies truly are undervalued.

    Here she is:

    and the obligatory wrist shot:

The bracelet is slightly too tight unfortunately so I put it on a cordura NATO strap for the time being. Anyone got a spare Lorenz link...?

    Cheers,

    Nick

    Congratulations Nick...!!!!!.
Indeed this watch is undervalued, and looks great with that desert nato.

I got a whole bracelet, which I don't use, so I could send a link.
Let me get to my watch maker and get one out.
You could PM me your address.
