Default What do we think of Dennison ? Thoughts Gentlemen ?

I cam across them recently although seem to have been around for a while... an old Brand relaunch but what is strange about this is that I don't think Dennison made watches but they did make cases.... based in Birmingham with pre war clients like Rolex and Smiths both originally British with Smiths being the 20th Century British watch and clock company. 8 Days a week! The cases of their relaunch watch are apparently made in the UK and based on the original 'Dennison Aquatite' case although not sure they really look like the original and while being easy on the eye they look a little agricultural for the £2,400 non chronometer price tag. and here are a few more pictures from Ebay LINK of a rather attractive Dennison case for a Buren Trench Watch

I just sold a Deniison cased version of the Omega 6B/159, and very nice it was too. I reckon it was assembled by Dennison from left over Omega movements from an MoD overstock during WWII.
That old Aquatite is very elegant, the new one a lot less so for my money.
Like the strap the new watch is mounted on though.

If it's Lemania-powered, I'm interested. Tool Chrono - interested. Dive Chrono - interested. Interesting - interested

Saw these at their launch - although can't find my photos.

    I really liked the box...

Your bleeding-edge Now is always someone else’s past. Someone else’s ’70s bellbottoms. Grasp that and start to attain atemporality.
