Default Military Henex Special Aviator Watch Pre War 1930's - SOLD

Henex Special Aviator Watch Pre War 1930's
Due to restrictions on military aviation in Germany after World War I there were few 'issued' military watches but these aviator watches were worn by civilian and military pilots alike, made by many brands including, Omega, Breitling, Zenith (Special), Helvetia, IWC, Heuer, Natalis, Lanco, etc they were largely pocket watch movements used in chrome/nickel plated large brass cases with over size crowns to begin with but smaller dedicated good quality movements were selected also. This is a 36mm approx. pilot watch by Henex with Arabic luminous markers and large lume hands. The movement is decorated with 'cote du genevé' and is serviced and runs +10 secs not bad for 70+ years old. Comes on a 3 piece leather pilot strap to fit the heavy fixed bars case. A very interesting historical piece.

The watch has been serviced and carries a 3 month mechanical warranty.
Due to their age and the original use of these watches there are minor marks to be found on the cases
which add to their vintage look without detracting from the quality, view the pictures for clarification.
ATG vintage watches give no waterproof guarantee or even splash proof, these watches are from a time before any idea of a fully waterproof watch.
