Default Just got this back from service

I got this vintage Breil quartz diver last year on EBay for 99 US dollars I thought it had some life left in it. Been a while since I had a diver to post here. I knew some work had to be done to it. So I sent it to Jack at IWW for relume, service of movement, gaskets replaced and sapphire crystal and pressure test well the crown was shot so for the pressure test to pass a crown replacement it matches the old one except it's none PVD. Also had to get a donor movement to get it completed parts are unattainable this was a Swiss quartz 7 jewel movement wanted to keep it original.

After was worth the year wait would of got it back faster if the movement parts were easy to find. I got the donor movement on ebay when I found out about the parts problem only one on ebay and it was none working so I hoped the part needed off it was good and it was for 30 bucks a good gamble. Don't look bad for a watch most would think a basket case before the service.

excellent... that is what this mad hobby is all about... Jack does good work... he PVD'd a number of watches for me as well as a relume on an early Doxa US Divers... but that was years ago... glad to hear he is still doing good work....
