This sold for over $3,000 and the movement - once modified and repaired - is doubtless destined for a vintage Panerai homage.

    Jon,

Yes, the wife and I almost messed our drawers when the final bid came in

I had learned, through many unsavory hours hunched over the keyboard, that the works would probably end up in a panerai project; we hope that it finds a good home.

I don't want to gloat and make ya'll sick to your stomach by revealing the low price that I paid for the clock...... but let's just say that my wife and I realized a 393.54% profit

We do intend on giving half of the money back to the charity.

The only problem now is that I can't walk past a watch or clock without taking yet another sick gander at it's make & model

    Chris
