German Military issued Junghans Bund
I just picked this up the last watch added to the collection this year. This looks like the earlier dial version with out the star made in the 1950's. It's shows it's age and will need a service the sweep hand will need to be cleaned up and repainted and I noticed the minute repeater hand was a replacement probably a Hanhart hand so on the hunt for a hand but it still looks OK. I think these are the best bang for the buck got it under 2000 US a Heuer or Hanhart Bund double that these days. It even has a original bund leather strap not a remake that also shows it age the back pad will need a repair. I was once looking for a 1958 birth year issued watch and told Junghans Bund could be one but the info on the net all over the place same in books 1950's - 1960's these were issued any way to date these with movement serial numbers ?

My three Bunds now I have all three hand wind versions.

Well got it back from service.

These watches when they first were issued some came with Kiefer Expandro SS bracelet Lars one of our members did a great thread on them.
Kiefer Expandro BUND (Junghans) - Militaruhren - Vintage und Aktuell - Vintage-Time Forum

Photo of a German Pilot wearing one looks like a Hanhart 417 since the issued ones are hard to find I found some civilian ones with 19.3 mm ends bought two one for the Hanhart 417 it will fit it no problem but I will have to file the ends a little for the Junghans. Got them cheap one for 24 bucks and since I bought two he sold the second one for 20 bucks with combined shipping. Not bad for the price.

In Konrad Knirim's Book on German military watches there is a photo of them in original box with the bracelet so some came with them.

sure I have that book.... it was probably 10 years ago now I bought one of those and matched a bracelet to it.... it was more me just day dreaming... I have not seen one of these bracelets with issue markings.. (not that I've looked) that's what I meant by 'put together with'.... great watch... I used to deal Junghans and it was not that long ago that I spoke to the distributor here and tried to by one... but the wanted full retail even though I had sold plenty of their pieces so I didn't bother.... your choices are great pal.... loving them so far.... cheers for posting... I still want a Glashutte or Tutima Urofa.... but difficult times for my 'own' watches at those prices... cheers Al
