    I'll leave it to the experts but the dial (MoD replacement) looks like odd number 2 & 4 encroaching on the subdials, not signed on the bridge, constant seconds hand 'tail', very fresh case back with strange(?!) font - these just raise questions but could be normal - Dave?

    Thanks Andy, I'll be trying to educate myself but haven't found a dial like this one, I've read that they made a special white dial for submariners but couldn't find an example. price on this one is good as well so a bit weird for me since I don't have enough knowledge...

    Too much work, this one. Avoid a all costs.
    It is a reprinted dial, not genuine at all (funny chapter ring and indices, encroaching numbers as Andy says and outer track wrong), hands wrong, crown wrong, caseback awfully engraved.

    I suspect that someone has managed to find a decent movement somewhere (not all bridges need to be signed), and also an NOS case (which is okay, apart from the engraving). They have then set about re-creating the rest of the "military" watch from scratch, which is massively foolish as decent dials and hands are available if you look hard enough. And with those genuine bits, but without a bodged caseback and new-printed dial, it may actually be worth more than it is now.

    Being cheap does not represent good value in this case, as it would be very hard to sell onwards.

    When will the people that make these things learn that genuine bits, however incomplete, are worth more than falsified ones.

    A perfectly good NOS case has been runied with that false engraving. Better to leave it un-numbered, there are loads of genuine ones out there that have had numbers ground off. It affects value, but much less that false numerals.

    Why are the movement screws also absent.

    @sergiom4, run as Dave says.

    IMHO great choice for your vintage piece. There is a sticky with several black dial versions that are great as a reference.

    I couldn't find a white dial in there. However there is a separate thread on watch restoration for the Malawi charity auction has a version 1 white dial.

    Good luck

    Hey Pat, thanks a lot for the links!, now I have more material to study!
    yes, definitely my favorite is the black version, late model with asymmetrical case, 39mm...It just happened that I saw that one at a great price in mint condition but since my knowledge for this model is on basic level I was not sure. thanks all of you for helping me out not doing a bad investment...

    @sergiom4

    If UK, referred to as "series 3" then you are looking for single pusher (0552)royal navy, (6b or 6bb) RAF asymmetrical with caliber 2220 Lemania.

    If Swedish referred to as "Tg195" then your looking for 3 crowns or M numbered caseback. Caliber 2225 Lemania.

    You should be able to find good references with a couple of Googles. Use the image search to find relevant examples quickly.

    Post back of you need someone to have a look. There are nuances to all the above. Given the tools to find examples using the above key words. We are happy to help further. Please note I am a n00b so take advice as such. Here is a Bad photo of my Swedish issued Tg195.

    Glad to be of help.
    This is my HS9
    I wanted the original. The first UK issued Lemania chrono.
    And for me, the symmetrical case is nicer. But that is just me. I find it more classical, and imho it fits the domed plexi better than the Asymmetric case, which looks like it should have a higher bezel and less crystal depth (to me).
    Mine has the original unsigned dial, and a single struck back (just the HS9 number, no additional numbers).
    Take your time and find a good one.
    And also, you can post here to get advice if you need to.
    They will go high (they all do) but there are also various military Lemanias coming up at the next Watches of Knightsbridge auction..........

    And at kaplans for your Swedish Tg195. Note the same comment applies here for they will go at a premium. Great source for reference IMHO.
