    Default Birth year Omega incoming

Been wanting to get a birth year watch for a long time I all ways put it off. I would be thinking doing it then I would see a good deal on some thing else and the funds for it would be gone. Being born in 1958 picking are slim the thought of a Rolex sub like most younger people get because some are affordable but early subs from 1958 are not. Even thought of Tudor or military issued from 1958 came close on a RAF Omega that's the same as a 53 but with a 58 date but did not want to pay the high price there a little more rare than the 53. Then I saw this Omega Seamaster 2869 with cal. 501 automatic movement full set with paper's sold a month before I was born. It had a cool two tone dial only flaw it mite have a replacement constellation crown from the correct era. Still a cool watch I did get 200 off the asking price not often you see box and paper of a watch this age. Should get it in a few weeks.

    Very nice indeed!
As you say very unusual to get B&P after that amount of time, but you can see the whole package has been well looked after.
    Enjoy.

well that is very cool.... Rolex are a well known brand and pretty big but Omega for me have always been a quality watch company that have made really interesting watches for the whole of the 20th Century.... I think that is brilliant..... I also bought myself a couple of 5513 Subs from '68 my year back in the day so to speak but they just didn't sing to me.... that has a lovely dial and look and quite rightly should not be the cost of a house down payment.... very cool!
