Tudor day wheel looks off?
Calling all Tudor day date experts here!
I have incoming a piece that looks to be real other than the font on the day wheel that seems larger and stylistically different from other day dates from the same error.
I have seen 1 or 2 images online of models with a similar font but still not convinced.
Can anyone help a brother out? Should I send this one right back once I receive it?

I am not sure what to say....maybe a later version date wheel was used to replace original, maybe its had a shock and shifted, maybe it was just a badly printed wheel.... I've seen watches put together by manufacturers who knew the dial was printed badly but they still did it.... I hope that helps :-)

Thanks for the insight. At this point I'm thinking, well if this isn't original how do i go about getting a replacement that is true to the era (something from the 80s) that is genuine

maybe could be that the dial has been replaced, Linen dials are more interesting perhaps.... I'd leave it and just see

Tudor also did larger (38mm) say dates, but using the same movement. However, yours is a 34mm one, isn't it?
Is it possible it has been replaced with an inappropriate spare?
Dave
If it's Lemania-powered, I'm interested. Tool Chrono - interested. Dive Chrono - interested. Interesting - interested

The one I ordered was a 36mm (35.5 mm). But that's a good observation. I can see that being the case
