I started ATG in 2002, ex Tv/Film editor watch collector since my father gave me his service watch from the Scotts Guards... late teens...first proper watch was a Speedmaster never looked back... divorced, have two boys Luke & Jack live in Bristol, originally from Liverpool UK

Wearing today my Bremont ALT1-P my daily wearer but love all vintage and am collating a book for Schiffer in the UK right now of all of the watches I have owned and photographed.

Mat. Been collecting for a couple of years. First proper watch was a Tag Kirium Auto (I think the jet lag and shiny, bright lights of late-night stopover in Singapore airport did me in). Picked up a Bremont ALT1-C, found Al's site / forum and haven't looked back. Living in London and hoping to organise the London GTG on 26th March. Currently wearing an NB Yaeger Tendence Auto.

    Default tim

    Hi,
I am Tim a vicar in Leeds, married Chris last year. First real watch was a speedmaster which I got in Hells Kitchen in New York about three years ago. We both love to travel and I try and get a watch every time we go of somewhere together. Found this sight and really enjoy it. I tend to look in a few times a day when i need distracting. I have a weakness for speedys and Heuer's.

    Dave S

An engineer, also based on Bristol, married with two small ones, Nathan at 2 and a half, Chloe coming up to one.
Watch-wise, the signature about covers it, and I started with this one -

a while back when I decided it was time for a decent watch. Finding info on the late Chuck M's site converted me to all things Lemania, and have been ploughing that furrow since, with a few detours on the way.

This photo is a little out of date.

Anyway, this is me last September with the wee lad, off to capture some scary crabs

    And I am 40 tomorrow
If it's Lemania-powered, I'm interested. Tool Chrono - interested. Dive Chrono - interested. Interesting - interested

Gary, 44 in a couple of weeks. Married for 15 years, no kids. I'm an art director which is essentially a jumped up graphic designer with ideas (usually above my station).

Other interests include cycling - road and mtb, photography, vintage cars, motorsport and wholesome outdoor county pursuits, walking, bird watching etc. Anything that involves getting away from people and a bit of fresh air really.

My first serious watch was this, which I still have.

A 1968 Wakmann with a Valjour 7734. Bought about five years ago now and the start of my steady decline into WIS madness .
My main interest in watches is Omegas from the 60's and 70's.

Me at work, in my best 'creative' shirt

    Cheers,

    Gary

OK, my Name's Simon and I'm Nuclear Physicist living on my super-yacht currently moored in Monaco......

Actually, I live in Somerset. Had to sell the yacht as the moors stopped flooding and I couldn't get it up to the back-door.

I'm 41 and married to a very patient and understanding Sally. We have two kids and I'm doing my best to get them hooked on watches. My 11 year old can identify any Rolex sports model at 100 paces! Good lad.

My first serious watch was a TV dial Omega Speedmaster (cal 1045?) which I bought for 240 and later sold back to same bloke for 400! I put the proceeds towards a Rolex GMTII, and the rest is flipping history. I still miss the Speedmaster.

Having followed a winding path and having tried many brands and styles my attention seems to have settled on Rolex sports, usually black. Although I'm now strangely drawn towards 70s LED models and I've picked up a couple of cheap but interesting ones recently.

    So that's me.

Well, I stated it a few weeks back:
I'm from the centre of the Netherlands, part time teacher, part time classic car restorer (for my own pleasure, no trades), I have a wife and two boys: 7 and 5 years old. My kids are not into watches, my wife is though: there's no quartz on her wrist

My first real watch was a Seiko, my parents gave it to me when I became 12, I think. I still own the watch! Nowadays I try to collect all watches I find interesting. Not the very expensive ones, I rather buy two or three less expensive watches instead. Latest aquisition: Auricoste Spirotechnique and I'm waiting for my two Seiko 6105 to return from Richard Ashkam. And then there's my MKII Kingston order I'm waiting for.

If you happen to have a nice, old Blancpain, Lip, Triton or Squale you want to sell...

    Menno

Anyway: two pics: my first watch and my latest restoration:
