Default The welcome mat is most welcome!

Shrewd? Since it was Al that pointed me onto this course of horology-obsession disorder, I have to pass the credit back to where it is due.
Looking forward to catching up tomorrow.
Beers are most definitely on me.

Does every ATG founder member have good taste, I mean horlogically speaking ?

    ....

    ....

Yeah, it seems ! That's a pretty cool chronograph you have there

Again, pity I'm so far from Bristol (where I spent 2 excellent months a couple of year ago)

    Best regards - Fred

And what a pleasant few hours it was, whiled away in the glorious Bristol sunshine with more amazing brains to pick.
What a lucky fella I am to live in ATG's city of residence and to spend these moments in such knowledgeable company.
I hope my newbie skull-sponge absorbed some of the geekery around the table!
Great to meet you Dave J Cyclopath and as ever gents, a fine ATG GTG.
Get the pics up Alistair - just to prove the man brought some Oz sunshine with him!

Thanks to Al for arranging our little GTG today and laying on the Bristol sunshine. Glorious day.
And thanks to our very own Johnny ( jchlu), Gary (Agent Orange) and DaveS for bringing along some absolute beauties to stare at, fondle and covet. Not to mention Al's contribution. To see a Speake-Marin, De Luca, Lorenz Chrono Sub, a few Excelsior Parks, Navigators, Lemanias, Bremonts, Omegas and Tutimas. And others.
Great company, great watch talk and general banter, and a real highlight of my trip thus far. Much to Al's amusement, I even survived the wilds of British Rail there and back!
A testament to this wonderful community Al has built and fostered here.

A very pleasant couple of hours indeed, great company, good food a few drinks and a table groaning with watches, what more could a man ask for. Thanks to Al for organising it.

It was a pleasure to meet you Dave and thanks for bringing the sunshine with you. Hope you had a good time on our little island and have a safe journey back mate.

    Cheers,
    Gary

SO I picked Dave up from Temple Meads here in Bristol.... wearing massive cans and riding a skateboard!

We wizzed down to me favourite watering hole on the Docks.. River Station where we were soon joined by Dave S, Johnny and Gary..... Luckily Dave's new purchase shipped to me arrived just in time so he got to have a play... Tutima Ti.. Commando..

We all know that look right... 0oh look what I've got..

From Left... Gary (agent orange) Johhny (jchlu), Dave S.. and Dave J (cyclopath) - Note Dave looking hungry!

    Classy Lemania...

Dave's Lemania box full of goodies... Fortis, Lemania Bremont ALT1-P blue what else..?

My original ALT1-C Dave's was there somewhere... his is a Panda serial 006

Dave took a shine to a bit of Brit cider.... and Dave got out his ahhh Gasp! Lemania powered Sinn EZM1...

Selectron.... basically the Swedish Mil Lemania civilian.. right Dave?

That's me on the right.. apparently a camera puts on 10lbs... looks like 30 to me....

Dave enjoying a Speake Marin Serpent

and Dave S laughing after I tell him he can't have it.....

Well guys its late.. if you took any other shots then load em up... I have some on my phone but will load later... great to see everyone today... reminds me that we should do an ATG GTG in London maybe soon.... post below if your interested...?

All the best Dave and safe flight back.....

Well, if Dave can come all the way over from Oz, I should be able to make it one day from sunny Scotland...

Dave - that's a really cool watch the Tutima, glad to see Amazon.de have started stocking them...congratulations anyway

I'm sure you wore that shirt last time Gary

DaveS - I went and bought a short Chronissimo after my first faltering 'meh' experience, worn a few days and have changed my mind completely - a great combo...

Funny, when you see the watches in a more casual setting rather than staged shots, you get a better impression of them I think - the SM is an example - too much too soon and it can overwhelm, but a few casual shots and hey - it looks very interesting, different and stylish.

Looks like you enjoyed yourselves gents, long may the Bristle sun last.
