    Default FS: Tudor Submariner 79090

FS: Tudor Submariner. This model is the 79090 with matt black dial and bi-directional bezel, which is correct for this model. While the Tudor's Rolex relative had long since been fitted with a uni-directional ratcheting bezel, I don't think the Tudor was fitted with one until the introduction of the 79190. Although shown on a NATO strap, the watch will come on its original oyster bracelet (marked 9315) and end links (380B). The bracelet is in good usuable condition, but does have a couple of dents in it from honest (but not careful :-) ) use.

The dial and hands are in good condition and starting to age to warm creamy patina. It doesn't really how in the pic, but there are a couple of marks on the hands, which I think will clean up when serviced. The case is in very good condition. The edges are still sharp and as you can see in the pic, it retains its original brushed finish to the top of the case. The model reference number and serial number (which starts B62 ####) are still clearly visible between the case shoulders. It is fitted with a Rolex triplock crown and is running fine, but a little slow. The crystal is free from any gouges but there are a couple of light surface marks on the cyclops. They are only visible with the aid of a magnifier. Unfortunately no box or papers with this one. Asking price is 1200 which I think fairly reflects the condition and allows for new buyer to service as & when they feel necessary. I'm happy to mail extra pics to anyone who wants them. If interested please either pm me or e-mail to onespeed (at) btopenworld (dot) com.
